There are different reasons why this error message may be displayed:
1. The robot has been moved.
The vacuum cleaner robot was picked up during cleaning and moved to another location (more than 0.5 m away). The robot is then no longer able to orient itself. This also applies if it was stopped via a "pause".
Solution: You must first delete the current cleaning operation via the menu.
2. The robot had been caught in something.
The vacuum cleaner robot got stuck and was restarted too far from the scene of the "accident" after the rescue operation (the 0.5 m distance also applies here).
Solution: For smaller distances, you can continue cleaning immediately. For larger distances, please delete the current cleaning operation first and then restart the robot.
3. Changes have been made during cleaning.
During cleaning, items of furniture were moved, doors were opened or closed or the vacuum cleaner robot itself has moved items.
Solution: Please do not make any changes during cleaning.
4. Spinning wheels on high pile carpets.
The wheels of the vacuum cleaner robot can spin on pile carpets and cause navigation problems.
Solution: Use magnetic tape to exclude the carpet from cleaning or remove it.
5. Dark, dense carpets.
The vacuum cleaner robot interprets dark and dense carpets as an abyss for dirty floor sensors. In such situations, the robot can no longer navigate and stops cleaning.
Solution: Please clean the sensors according to the instructions for use.
6. Large, empty rooms.
In particularly large and empty rooms or corridors, the vacuum cleaner robot can lose its orientation if there are no furnishings within a radius of approx. 2–3 m. In this case, the robot assumes that its laser scanner is disturbed.
Solution: Place larger objects in space to give the robot orientation points.
